Ammar was born in Illinois to parents who immigrated to the US from Iraq in the late 1950's.

At age 15, he moved with his family to Massachusetts where he remained through college and graduate school. Achieving degrees in Mathematics and Physics from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, he went on to study Applied Mathematics at Michigan State University.

After grad school Ammar went on to do electronic testing and mechanical design in an atmospheric research lab at Harvard University.

Following his new (at the time) passion for motorcycles and motorcycle racing, he packed up and moved to Southern California to pursue his dream of working in professional motorsports, landing at Suzuki/Yoshimura Racing.

After winning 3 National Superbike Titles with Mat Mladin and later a 4th with Toni Elias, Ammar left Yoshimura to start BAZZAZ (www.bazzaz.net), an aftermarket performance electronics company for motorcycle racing.

Embarking on this latest (ad)venture with TRACE Ammunition, Ammar continues to lead a life fueled by passion!
